Celebrating WLBA Broncos Basketball Legacy
THEIR STORIES ARE PART OF OURS
Every community has people who leave the game better than they found it. The WLBA Lake City Hall of Fame celebrates those whose passion, dedication, leadership and achievements have helped shape basketball in Williams Lake.
Some inspired through their play. Others built programs, coached generations of athletes, volunteered behind the scenes or created opportunities that continue to impact our community.
Their stories deserve to be remembered.
Meet Our Inductees
Spring 2026 Inductee - Steve Llanera
Steve Llanera has been part of the Lake City Broncos story from the very beginning.
As a member of our inaugural Broncos team, Steve quickly became one of the leaders of the group. He was a strong vocal presence, but what made his leadership truly stand out was the way he backed it up every day. He worked hard, competed with purpose, supported his teammates, and carried himself with the kind of character that others naturally followed.
On the court, Steve was known as a relentless defender. He played with toughness, energy, and a never-give-up attitude that made him respected by his teammates and feared by his opponents. No matter the score or situation, Steve kept competing. That mentality became part of the identity of the Broncos and remains one of the qualities our program values most.
As Steve grew older, his impact on the program continued to grow with him. He stepped into an even bigger leadership role by coaching our U11 and U12 boys’ programs, passing on the same work ethic, confidence, and love for the game that he brought to the court as a player.
Steve’s legacy with the Lake City Broncos is about more than what he accomplished as an athlete. It is about the example he set, the teammates he lifted, and the younger players he helped guide. From Day One, Steve helped shape what it means to be a Bronco.
